Welcome to the Virginia Vital Events and Screening Tracking
System Support Site. The purpose of this web site is to supply to the
users of Electronic Birth Registration (EBC) and Virginia Infant
Screening and Infant Tracking System (VISITS) applications; the on-line
documentation and support needed to meet their business objectives as
they work in the Virginia Vital Events and Screening Tracking System.
Virginia Infant Screening and Infant Tracking System (VISITS)
The VISITS System is part of the Virginia Vital Events and Screening Tracking System (VVESTS). The VVESTS is suite of applications, which houses modules to register and recall vital events occurring in the state of Virginia. VISITS is a secure, web-based tool for electronically creating and updating hearing screening records for children in Virginia. This system allows stakeholders of the Virginia Early Hearing Detection and Intervention (VA EHDI) Program to view and enter information in an electronic format. Hospitals, Audiologists, Infant & Toddler Connection Facilities, and Family-Family Support Service Facilities use the system.
The Office of Family Health Services provides access to VISITS to capture necessary data for children born in the Commonwealth of Virginia. VISITS allows authorized Early Hearing Detection and Intervention hearing users and VACARES users to report Birth Defects. Hearing users also have access to report and review hearing screening, diagnostic evaluations and referrals/outcomes for children diagnosed with hearing loss.
This Support Site provides the users with the Virginia Department of
Health’s Computer Security Awareness Requirements along with the
necessary downloads to Access and Security forms that must be completed
before EBC & VISITS users are allowed to access or work in the
application.
